Winter hiking
Hundreds of glittering snowflakes transform every year anew and turn the greenest of landscapes into a winter paradise. During a hike through the white splendor, you will hear nothing but the crunching of ice underneath your feet.
Numerous, well-cleared hiking trails (for example to the Schöllang Castle Church), turn winter walks into a recreational program. Thanks to the pure air, you will return to the hotel with red cheeks and fond memories.
Cross-country skiing
As the sun shines from the sky above, glide through the white landscape while cross country skiing. For cross-country skiers, the Allgäu is a true paradise: In Oberstdorf, 75,000 cross-country meters (46.6 miles) are spread over 10 perfectly groomed trails not including the Hörnerdörfer, which adds another 110 kilometers (68 miles).
With cross-country ski trail access directly in front of the hotel, you can start out into the winter wonderland without any detours. The smooth motion of cross-country skiing works almost all muscle groups and is easy on the joints- the ideal activity for the winter months.
